We all know you could do it better, so now prove it by enjoying the best coffee around. Created by UrinatingTree to motivate you to get up and do something, or at least keep you on top of what other people are doing.

Great for any preparation method but if you want our recommendation, try it with a french press. Dark roasted to perfection in small batches. Always specialty grade.

Meh

I am not sure what I was expecting. When I heard that a sports Youtuber was also interested in coffee I was excited. Maybe they would put in the effort that I expected them to. Local, fresh and small roast batches. But when it arrived, the packaging had no roast date and it seemed that it is a Private Label Coffee company with “BenchWarmer Brew”slapped on it. Looking back at it, the company who actually roasts the coffee is nowhere to be mentioned in the product description. I guess I should have expected this based on the price?
When I began pulling shots of expresso from the grounds, I did not get much crema as a result. This is likely due to the beans not being fresh. Also the beans are from Arabica not Mexico as it so wrongfully states.
If you expected an original coffee brand by your favorite YouTuber from their local favorite roasters you’d be wrong. It is simply repackaging and relabeling coffee from somewhere else - Akira Coffee from NE to be exact. I do not know anything about this company because Benchwarmer Brew doesn’t want you to know about it. You might have a better experience than I did but at the end of the day it’s just Meh. Broncos Country… let’s ride.

Review for all 3 blends

Alright Perna, I got to try them all now, and I gotta say I’m impressed. Each blend was great, I appreciate that they’re sold ground and whole bean. I grind my own and use a pour over method typically, which helps bring forward those good flavors. My personal favorite is the Backup Blend, but for dark roast, the Armchair QB is amazing. It has a nice dark taste instead of a burnt taste like most dark roasts; it even tastes good black. Really the biggest downside is the price, but I’m willing to spend the extra money knowing everything about the brand and the people behind it. Good job Benchwarmer team!
